Plains Area Mental Health provides a holistic approach for Iowans seeking comprehensive, integrated and individualized care for a range of brain and physical health conditions in Buena Vista, Carroll, Cherokee, Crawford, Green, Ida, Monona, Plymouth, Sac, Pocahontas, Humboldt and Sioux Counties. Across our 14 locations, we provide:

Resources

Services — Plain Area Mental Health welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds. We collaborate with clients on an individual basis to create a plan to address specific needs and goals in a way that is respectful, caring and effective. Our services for adults and children include outpatient counseling, outpatient psychiatric, outpatient psychology, integrated health services, outreach programs, Turning Point crisis services and substance abuse services.

Locations — We maintain a network of 14 locations across 10 northwest Iowa counties in Le Mars, Orange City, Cherokee, Ida Grove, Storm Lake, Carroll, Denison, Lake City, Sac City, Spirit Lake and Emmetsburg. Plains Area Mental Health Center staff can also accommodate virtual visits — please call 800-325-1192 to learn more.

New Patient Information — Enrollment in some Plains Area Mental Health Center services is free of charge to qualifying adults and children. Visit our locations page to contact your preferred office and determine your service needs and to discuss enrollment and payment options.
