Children’s Services/Children’s Behavioral Health Services
Service coordinators connect children to local providers to address their mental and behavioral health needs and help families navigate funding options. Other services offered include assessments and evaluations, medication prescribing and management, education, prevention, and recovery services.
Crisis Services
Providers assist individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts or extreme emotional distress. Regions may offer a 24-hour crisis line, 24-hour crisis observation, evaluation, commitments, or personal emergency response systems.
Crisis Stabilization
Crisis stabilization prevents those with complex mental health issues from being involuntarily or inappropriately incarcerated. Providers connect people in crisis to a specialist who allows them to stay in a safe space. During this time, professionals identify a network of appropriate community resources to assist in long-term recovery.
Mobile Crisis Response
Trained mobile crisis providers de-escalate mental health issues so individuals may be able to avoid being treated in a hospital in the future. A team of trained mental health experts can arrive in an unmarked vehicle to a home, office or school to provide needed services in a safe and familiar environment.
Disability Support
Providers offer services to help those with intellectual or developmental issues thrive. Services can include coordinating funding assistance, employment education, day services, and supported living.
Jail Diversion Services
Providers coordinate mental health support for adults during and after incarceration. The regions work to secure community support services that encourage a successful transition back into the community. Regions also offer information and training for law enforcement and emergency responders to help them identify a mental health crisis before it becomes an emergency.
